Terms of Service

Welcome to Amynabad Library & Reading Room (ALRR). These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement between you and ALRR regarding your access to and use of our physical facilities, digital services, and institutional offerings.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, borrowing materials, utilizing our Reading Room, or accessing the Public Access Computers (PAC), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

Note: These terms are subject to change. Continued use of ALRR services after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

2. Membership Eligibility

Reading Room Access: The Reading Room is free and open to all members of the Jamat without requiring formal membership.
Book Memberships: An active membership is strictly required to issue books. Books are issued for a standard period of 14 days. A late fine of 5 PKR per day applies for overdue items. Reissuance requires physical presentation of the book at the library.
PAC Access: Active ALRR Book Members receive free access to PAC terminals. Non-members may purchase a dedicated PAC monthly pass for 250 PKR.

3. Facility Usage & Rules

Reading Room: Primarily serves as a Silent Zone. Group work or committee meetings require prior booking through the Library Portfolio Lead or an active committee member.
Public Access Computers (PAC): Operate strictly on a walk-in, first-come, first-served basis. Standard sessions are 20 minutes, extendable only if no other patrons are waiting. Users must check in with the attendant and submit their physical Library Card during use.
Printing Services: Confidential documents require the patron's physical presence during printing. ALRR is not liable for data breaches related to submitted documents.

4. Code of Conduct

Patrons are expected to maintain the decorum of the library. Disruptive behavior, misuse of PAC terminals, damage to physical property, or failure to return borrowed materials may result in the suspension or termination of membership and facility access privileges.

5. Intellectual Property

All content found on the ALRR digital platform, including logos, text, and catalog images, is the intellectual property of Amynabad Library & Reading Room or its licensors and may not be reproduced without explicit permission.

6. Limitation of Liability

ALRR provides its services on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use our services, including the PAC terminals, printing services, or digital catalog.
